Sonos One Unboxing & Review

This week we are excited to feature the new Sonos One Speaker. Dubbed “The Smart Speaker For Music Lovers”, Sonos has integrated voice control into its line of high-quality wireless speakers.

Simplicity is the name of the game with Sonos. Inside the box includes the speaker, basic instructions, a power cable, and an Ethernet cable that you may not end up needing.

The Speaker is obviously a high-quality build, visually almost identical to the previous Play: 1 Series. The only notable difference being the top of the unit, where a new touch-sensitive panel lets you swipe to skip a track, mute the microphone for privacy, and more.

The sound quality is virtually identical to the Play 1 series and is more than enough to fill a small room. Getting started is extremely easy, as the Sonos app guides you every step of the way.

Unfortunately, Alexa voice control is not yet available in Canada, however, the speaker will support it once it has been made available, as well as supporting personal assistants by Google and Apple.

Overall the Sonos One is a great future proof version of the Play:1, it will integrate seamlessly with other Sonos Speakers and is a great way to jump into the Smart Speaker or Wireless Speaker market.
